A core objective of the Centre is career development and capacity building for a range of Mid and Early Career Researcher stages including:

  • Doctoral students
  • Postdoctoral researchers
  • those transitioning to become independent researchers
  • career progression for mid-career staff balancing a teaching and research portfolio

The Forum enables researchers to initiate, participate and contribute to targeted career development activities to enable support greater gender, ethnic, sexual orientation and disability equality in academia.

Methods workshops are frequently held at the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics, the University of Leeds and the University of Manchester, as well as at the University of Essex.

This is a 6-month staff development course that currently runs at the University of Sussex Business School by the PI with dedicated professional support from the Research Office and Impact and Communication specialists.
