Digit Co-Director presents to the Joe Isaac Symposium, Monash University

Digit Co-Director Mark Stuart presented emerging findings from a survey of UK employers’ digital management practices at the annual Joe Isaac Symposium, Monash University on 26 October 2022.

Professor Stuart, is Montague Burton Professor of Human Resource Management and Employment Relations (ER) at the University of Leeds and founding director of the Centre for Employment Relations Innovation (CERIC).

His talk considered the extent and variety of digital innovation; the impact of such investment on management strategies with regard to worker control and autonomy; and the impact on jobs.

The event was chaired by Professor Greg Bamber, Director, International Consortium for Research in Employment & Work (iCREW), Centre for Global Business, Monash Business School, Monash University, Melbourne.  Professor Bamber is an Associate Fellow of Digit.

The International Consortium for Research on Employment & Work (iCREW), Monash Business School, Monash University, and the Melbourne Human Resource Management Unit (MHRMU), Department of Management and Marketing, The University of Melbourne jointly host annual symposia in honour of the late Joe Isaac AO FASSA.

Findings from Digit’s Employers’ Digital Practices at Work Survey are expected to be published in early 2023.
