Coworking and the Future of Work – Extending the Debate Research and Stakeholder Workshop – 21-22 October 2022, Brighton

5 August 2022

The Coworking Research Collective (CORECOL) invites applications for participation in this workshop to discuss ongoing and recent research projects about coworking and the future of work, broadly conceived, and to engage with practitioners from the coworking sector to understand the current developments ‘on the ground’. We want to share ideas, compare notes, offer interventions and collectively contribute to the consolidation and expansion of a research agenda around coworking as an empirically and theoretically significant phenomenon under contemporary capitalism.

Audience

We invite participants from across the social sciences including business and management,
geography, sociology, labour studies, information systems, communication and others with
current or recently completed studies on coworking and coworking spaces in any context to
share their work, receive feedback and think things through together to join us. This includes
researchers at all stages, but we particularly encourage Early Career Researchers and PhD students at all stages of study, including those in pre-fieldwork / data collection stages.

Location

This is an in-person workshop.

Day 1- 21 October: Plus X, Brighton.

Day 2 – 22 October: the University of Sussex Business School, Falmer, Brighton.
